Cathie Larkin
Cathie Larkin is a linen Heirloom cat with wool-felt eyes and hand-embroidered details. She has cotton-print legs and wears a printed cotton romper. The romper is removable and fastens at the back with a metal snap. She also has a hand-knit cardigan. She has linen boots. The clothes, excepting the boots, can be removed.
This kitty has a removable wool-felt hat in green. It is blanket-stitched all around, fastened with a little shirring elastic and a button. Delicately handcrafted flower stems sit atop her hat. The flower stems are made from wire wrapped with embroidery thread, with wool felt leaves and petals, with glass beads inside the flowers. A little needle-felted dove sits amongst the flowers. Her hat also has a cotton lace crown, embellished with glass beads.
Cathie Larkin has a needle-felted dove on her arm. Both doves have glass eyes and a painted clay beak. The birds can be moved, and the flower stems can be posed.
Cathie comes with a handmade wooden doll stand with soft armature wire that can be easily moulded to hold her just under her arms. The doll stand is painted and varnished.
Both Cathie and Art come with a printed copy of my ink drawing of the nursery rhyme "I had a Little Nut Tree".
14” button jointed cat doll (excluding hat), wired with aluminium wire, and stuffed with wool roving. Beeswax blush to the cheeks. You can remove the clothes from this doll, but not the boots.
