Art Larkin
Art Larkin is a linen Heirloom cat with wool-felt eyes and hand-embroidered details. He has cotton-print legs and wears a printed cotton shirt with tiny buttons. The shirt is removable and fastens with metal snaps. He also has brown linen breeches with little buttons and a hand-knit scarf. He has linen boots. The clothes, excepting the boots, can be removed.
This kitty has a wool-felt hat in straw marl. It is blanket-stitched all around, fastened with a little shirring elastic and a button. A delicately handcrafted tree sits atop his hat. It is made from wire and paper, painted with gouache and varnished. A little needle felted robin sits in the upper branches of the tree, and a paper clay nutmeg (painted silver) and a pear (painted gold) hang from the branches of the tree.
Art Larkin has a needle-felted robin on his arm. Both robins have glass eyes and a painted clay beak. The robins can be moved, along with the golden pear and the silver nutmeg.
Art comes with a handmade wooden doll stand with soft armature wire that can be easily moulded to hold her just under her arms. The doll stand is painted and varnished.
Both Cathie and Art come with a printed copy of my ink drawing of the nursery rhyme "I had a Little Nut Tree”.
14” button jointed cat doll (excluding hat), wired with aluminium wire, and stuffed with wool roving. Beeswax blush to the cheeks. You can remove the clothes from this doll, but not the boots.
