Lady Gertrude

Lady Gertrude is a grey linen cat with wool felt eyes and hand embroidered details. She has a black linen doublet with tiny buttons, a hand knitted scarf and cotton shorts made from quilters cotton with a cotton lace trim. Gertrude has tall boots. Her doublet and boots are not removable.

This kitty has a wool-felt hat in black. It is blanket-stitched by hand and fastened with a vintage button and a little shirring elastic. A delicately handcrafted little tree, made from wire and paper, hand pained with gouache and drawing ink, which has then been varnished, is stitched atop the hat. The tree has little needle-felted birds roosting in its branches. The tree is wired and can be posed gently.

Lady Gertrude has a little crow sweetie pie who likes to perch on her arms.

14” cat doll (excluding hat), wired with aluminium wire, and stuffed with wool roving. Beeswax blush to the cheeks. You can remove the clothes carefully.
